In June 2006, the Meow Mix company released a short TV series called Meow Mix House. The show aired on animal planet in three minute segments. The Meow Mix company rescued ten cats from across the nation and had them perform in competitions to win a spot in an executive position at Meow Mix. The show ran for ten weeks. The cats could be viewed online at all times.

When voted off the show, the animals were adopted. Their adoptive families received a years supply of Meow Mix cat food. Two winning cats, a judges’ choice and a viewers’ choice, received positions with Meow Mix cat food.
